Our monthly dance in Sacramento is on most first Fridays of the month; you can check the calendar at www.fussell.org/sacramento. If you can walk, you can do this type of dancing!  The beginner class is at 7:30 pm and the dance happens from 8 to 11 pm.  No experience or partner needed. All dances are taught and called.  Wear short sleeves and comfy shoes and come and try it.  Caution: your face may hurt the next day, from smiling so much.

Contra dancing is traditional American folk dancing, from which square dancing has sprung. There’s nothing stuffy or staid about it, and we tailor the level of the dance to the experience of the group.
